African Development Fund

The ADF is the concessional window of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group. Established in 1972, it became operational in 1974. Administered by the AfDB , it comprises, to date, 29 contributing countries and benefits 38 countries. Find out more

The African Development Bank Group and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg have hosted the third meeting of the Fourteenth Replenishment of the African Development Fund (ADF-14) which took place in Luxembourg, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg from 28 to 29 November 2016.
The Mid-Term Review (MTR) of the 14th Replenishment of the African Development Fund (ADF-14) is scheduled to take place from 24 to 26 October 2018, in a yet-to-be determined ADF-beneficiary country in Africa.
The overall objective of the ADF Working Group is to facilitate discussions on innovations to address structural issues on the future of ADF and how it can most effectively and efficiently contribute to the developing agenda of Africa’s LICs, which are its most vulnerable states.
